Party, party, party!

The holiday season is already in full swing and many companies are hosting Christmas parties. When these are held on the business premises, it is important to be sure that you have sufficient Washington business insurance in place to cover the potential accidents and lawsuits that sometimes arise from this kind of activity.

Christmas party entertainment can range from the simple and quick right up to the multi-themed and highly complex event that takes months to organize. 

A small selection of non-alcoholic drinks, served with nuts and nibbles after a speech by the team leader or managing director may not appear to generate any insurance risks. However, a drunken guest who later has an accident, or a guest with an allergy who inadvertently consumes the nuts, could see you end up in court.

Even something as simple as a circulating entertainer or two; with one performing magic tricks and the other telling fortunes, can backfire if an injury is sustained. When an accident does occur, a joyful Christmas can quickly turn sour – and the host of such a party could be in for a costly new year. 

Of course, if you’ve already sorted out your Washington business insurance, party on! Just make sure you take care of yourself, your employers and your guests during the celebrations.
